Folk legend Arlo Guthrie embarks on his odyssey as a masterful storyteller and humorous philosopher, while proving that folk music is alive and well when he comes to the historic Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside on April 10, 2011, at 7:30 PM. The final event of the L.A. Acoustic Music Festival's "Guthrie Weekend" in the Inland Empire, "Journey On" reunites Arlo with his son Abe, and the Burns Sisters, whose siren song brings evocative, exquisite support to Guthrie's seasoned and celebrated performance.
The newly renovated Fox Performing Arts Center, originally built in 1929 as part of the legacy of theaters built by William Fox, was given a 32 million dollar face lift by the City of Riverside. It re-opened a year ago, as a 1600 seat state-of-the-art facility.
